Marc Prokosch has been with Karam Law since 2003. As an
immigration litigation attorney, Mr. Prokosch is focused on federal
court claims, where he has successfully resolved long delays by the US
Citizenship and Immigration Services with regard to citizenship
applications, green cards, and other types of cases on numerous
occasions. He was counsel for two of the leading published
decisions in Minnesota District Court, Al Jabari v. Chertoff, 536 F.Supp.2d 1029 (D.Minn. 2008) (highlighted in Kurzban's) and Ali v. Frazier, 575 F.Supp.2d 1084 (D.Minn. 2008) (highlighted in Bender's Bibdaily),
along with several unpublished victories for his clients, as well as
numerous cases successfully settled with the US Attorney's
office. Mr. Prokosch's other practice areas include appellate
proceedings, relief from removal, employment-based immigration and
family-based immigration.
Mr. Prokosch is a
member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and is
currently on the executive committee of the Minnesota/Dakotas chapter
serving as Treasurer. He has taught and mentored other attorneys
and law students on matters related to immigration litigation. He
is admitted to practice before the Minnesota Supreme Court, the United
States District Court for the District of Minnesota and the United
States Courts of Appeals for the Fourth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth
Circuits.
Mr. Prokosch received his juris doctorate from Hamline University School of Law, achieviing honors and graduating magna cum laude.
Prior to law school, Mr. Prokosch taught English in Minnesota and Kenya
and worked for several years in the financial printing industry.
Marc volunteers for
"Rein in Sarcoma" which is a non-profit Sarcoma research
organization. He is married to Ruth and they have a daughter
named Ilse.
