Leslie Karam, the senior attorney at Karam Law, practices exclusively in the area of immigration law.  Leslie began practicing immigration and employment law in Minneapolis in 1992.  From there, she moved to New Jersey, practicing law with a heavy emphasis on employment-based immigration  In 1995, she returned to the Minneapolis area to establish her own law practice.

She co-authored "Practice Pointers for Recruitment in RIRs," Jan. 98 AILA Monthly S-6, and "Couples Separated By Borders," 69 Hennepin Lawyer No.11 (Nov. 2000), pp. 4-23, also reprinted at ILW.com.

Leslie has been a featured guest and served for five years as a member of the board of directors of a Minneapolis-based public radio show dealing with international issues.  She holds a juris doctorate degree from William Mitchell College of Law.  She is a member of the Bar of the State of Minnesota and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).  Leslie is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, the U.S. Court of Appeals, and the highest court of our nation, the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.

In addition, Leslie is a University of St. Thomas Law School Law Mentor, an advisory board member of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciece at Minnesota State University Mankato and a probation supervisor through the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility - Minnesota Supreme Court.
